Because the Child Advocacy Center is able to provide a comprehensive array of services for child sexual abuse victims and their families, they no longer have to go to many different locations across the city or country to get the help they need.
Services include:
- Conducting interviews with victims and family members and coordinating case investigations.
- Offering therapy for child sexual abuse victims and their families.
- Gathering evidence, testimony, and medical documentation for prosecution.
- Ensuring that swift, prosecution-at any level needed-is provided.
- Preparing child victims and their families for the criminal justice process.
- Providing training for child abuse professionals from participating agencies.
- Offering child abuse education and prevention programs to local schools and community groups.
